Batman Begins
I really liked this movie. I thought the beginning was a little slow. It took me about 20 minutes to get captivated by it. But once the actual training began I was more than enthralled. I have to admit that I do feel like little Bruce Wayne is responsible for getting his parents killed. I guess that is part of why Batman is the way he is. Overall I though it was fun. A little over-the-top for a movie that was supposed to be realistic. Katie Holmes was terrible in it. I have seen her act much better. I liked her in Go. I thought she was dry and just boring. Any female actress could have played that part. I hope she flies away on spaceship after her final audit.
Spanglish
This movie sucked. I had it on late while I was doing work. This is how I can tell if a movie is at least halfway decent. It should make me stop working and watch. There was nothing exciting about this movie at all. Rich white girl hires Mexican women to clean her house. Okay, where is plot? So far you have described every suburban household in America. Woo Hoo. I understand Adam Sandler is trying to make "serious" movies, which is a huge mistake — Punch Drunk Love was worse than this movie, but come on. No wookies, no fighting, a sex scene not worth taking my eyes off 400 lines of ASP code. Nothing but crap.

Star Wars Episode 3
I finally saw Episode 3. I can’t believe I didn’t see this in the theaters. I thought it was great. A definite thumbs up. I heard so many things about this movie and most people I talked to said it was just like the others…"bad!" The effects were the best I have seen in any movie. It was very enjoyable and completed the circle in the Star Wars story. I finally got to see Anakin become Vader. There was absolutely no reason for Chewbaca to know Yoda but I loved the fact that Chewy was there. Any movie that has at least one Wookie gets, at minimum, a sideways thumb. Let that be lesson to all future film makers….MORE WOOKIES!!!
Saw
I can’t give this movie a thumbs down because it wasn’t a bad movie. It actually was well made for a low-budget horror flick. Perhaps it was just over-hyped by pretty much everyone I talked to but it wasn’t the "best" horror movie I have ever seen. Silence of the Lambs was a much better horror/suspense thriller. I am not huge on this genre. It’s not my favorite thing to watch. I understand people like it for a thrill and I have no problem with that but I found Scream to be a million times more enjoyable and creative. I did like the way they sped up scenes to show a lapse in time. Other than that, this movie didn’t scare me or really entertain me.

Okay, okay…it’s not THAT bad but it is still pretty awful. I have been playing a lot of online poker and I wanted to check out an actual card club. I probably should have waited for the 2/4 table but I was impatient and jumped into the $100 no limit. I was out-matched by Saturday night regulars. I wasn’t used to that kind of game. There was no where near the amount of bluffing that goes on during an online midnight turbo. It will be along time until I go back to an actual card club — especially in LA, The next time I will play at an actual table will be in Vegas.

No bust Blackjack is an interesting game. If you "bust" you don’t lose if the dealer happens to "bust" higher. So a 22 doesn’t lose if the dealer pulls a 23. The whole banker thing is phuked too. A player at the table is given the option of being the bank. The bank only wins when the table loses. It’s like the don’t pass line. You are hated by the table and we all want you to lose. But back to the no bust thing, it really changes the way you think of a hand. Sometimes it’s worth it to hit a 12 or 13 against a 2 - 6 which normally I wouldn’t do. I know in Vegas they tell you to be cautious against a 2 (and hit it) but I normally wouldn’t hit it. In this CA style BJ, you gotta bend the rules, cause phuk, they are!!!

Check this out! Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia that is moderated by users, thinks I am cool. In fact the moderators even argued/debated on how cool I am. Even the detractor knew he/she was in the wrong and gave a disclaimer before calling me on a “calculated attempt to simply boost his Google PageRank.”
I feel really honored and really cool. I personally want to thank of the supporters: Splash, Jacquelyn Marie, Molotov – I will be sending each of you an egg gun as soon as they are finished. You are definitely getting WDP hats.
