Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical.

What a long, strange 2 months it has been. It really came down to the wire. I was going to make a decision of whether or not to move back to LA, today. I raced back Monday morning to go an interview and it payed off. Life is funny like that sometimes. It really does prove the old adage "when it rains it pours."

On Friday, I turned down a job with Sprokkit Web Marketing. When I left on Friday I walked down the giant hill known as Grand Ave. I thought "did I really just turn down a job?" Seriously, I didn't, right? I told him I needed two weeks. But I also told him I didn't want to stay in Los Angeles. That didn't seem to please him. Oh well, that job wasn't meant to be. I did get work on Del Taco's website. That was kind of cool and I got to learn even more about the Google Maps API.

I am very happy that I am able to stay here. Leaving after only 4 months just felt wrong. Being in LA felt surreal and sudden. I do miss my friends and family, but you can always come here.

I think tomorrow I am going to do all my work during the day so I can go the Palms and watch Jackass. I love Vegas :)

In the last 2 days I have learned the hardway that butterfly knives can cut you. These aren't bad cuts. I didn't lose a finger or anything. These cuts didn't even require stitches. They aren't a big deal, but you should remember they can cut you. I am pretty G with butterfly knives. But even a G can get cut sometimes. So be careful and play with them often.

Kobe 24I am not talking about the show on Fox. I just saw a commercial for NBA 2007 for PS2. It's Kobe's game. I was sitting here blogging and I heard the voice. I screamed "Izzo," probably waking up most of neighbors. Kobe narrates the commercial and you see the video game version Izzo rocking the two four.

Oh shit, basketball is starting. The Lakers are coming to Vegas in 3 weeks. Basketball starts in a month.

You ready? I am!

I can't believe Kobe is not going to be wearing #8. Does this mean his game is going to be 3 times as good. Is that even possible?

Yeah, I stole image. You going to really say something?

I have said it from the very beginning, Youtube is NOT going to make it. Even Mark Cuban thinks so. I love telling the story of Scour.com. Scour became extremely popular right after Napster and right before Kazaa. Scour wasn't based on true P2P like the rest of the Gnutella compatible clients (i.e Kazaa, Morpheus, LimeWire).

Scour had a central server, like Napster, that you had to log into. Scour had the BEST results. You could find way more than just music. Free movies, porn, software, and millions of mp3s. Scour was growing extremely fast without any commercials or press. This goes far beyond a grass roots marketing campaign. There is no need for marketing when you are giving away free shit. You don't have to sell free. You just tell free. The business term is "viral marketing." Person A tells person B there is a store with tons of free media. Person B tells 40 people. You got the idea…I hope so.

Scour was loved by investors because they truly believed you don't need to sell anything in the Internet age, you just need a market share. It does make sense considering it's the same business model magazines have been using for years. We just need the users, the viewers, the clickers, and we can make all the money in selling the ad space.

Scour received 30 million dollars in venture capitalist money. Scour spent it all in 6 months on lavish launch parties and Foosball tournaments.

Youtube is fun, just like Scour. But Youtube is far more guilty than Scour, they host the file. They are storing copyright material. They display copyright material. Youtube's ENTIRE business model is a giant DMCA nightmare. In this day when the RIAA and MPAA will sue a 12 year old for listening to Janet Jackson, Madonna and Greenday, how is anyone really going to invest.

A few months ago I read that Youtube was spending well over a million a month in hosting and bandwidth. It must be triple that now. They are estimating it to be worth over 1.5 billion and rumors of an NBC have acquisition have been floating around for a while. Recently Jay Leno dedicated 15 minutes to showing Youtube clips and then brought out Lonleygirl15 aka Bree aka Jessica Rose.

Youtubes orginal intentions may have been good. So were Scours. They wanted to build something that would generate traffic. Scour was a little looser in their practice, allowing the user to just have it forever.  I am not against the sharing of music, it's music. But I do believe in copyright laws. Make a friend a copy of CD is one thing, selling it for a billion dollars, that's another.

And by friend I mean all the good people on the torrent clients.

Viva B.L.O and the Spaghetti Monster.

Where are these weeks going? Are they flying by for you? They sure are for me. The seem to be getting exponentially faster. I guess with the equation perception of time = 1 year/ years alive, it is getting faster. But I didn't come here to rant about that silly shit. We have all sorts of important shit to discuss…like about.com stealing my blogs. We can talk about firecrotch or Paris Hilton's album or crap movie that is coming out today. We can talk about the housing bubble that is seems to be captivating and terrifying the nation.

We've got a lot to talk about but for now I am going to sleep.

This is just humor. I laughed for 10 minutes. The only thing that would make this video any better is if PeeWee smoked the crack right after the PSA. I love that he is holding crack. Why would PeeWee even have crack? Wasn't his demographic like 5 - 8 year olds?

…it isn't glamourous, or cool, or kid's stuff!" LMAO Thanks, PeeWee! But do you honestly want me to believe that in that outfit you don't hit da pipe a lil bit? Come on P.Wee, break out da pipe and da torch and let's blaze some rock.

I am not one to really ever post about Lindsay Hohan. I don't really care for her. Sure she has her moments where she actually looks really good – but most of the time I find her repulsive. It balances out to a nice I don't really think about her and she doesn't bother me. All the other sites seem to love her and have been going crazy over her "firecrotch shot." No one really knows if it's a real pic and the rumor is that it is a fake. Well I don't know if this is the altered pic but it would sure explain a lot…Lindsey has a dick . Actually, I don't think it would explain anything. I just finally thought someone did some good photoshop work.

So here is the What Da Phuk! "unaltered" version of the pic. For some reason Brandon Davis seems to be in WDP version.

WDP Firecrotch

Yes, this is the real pic. Tell your friends about it. One last thing, how does Brandon get so greasy? What is his secret? I have been trying to grease it up lately and I am usually dry by noon. Maybe it's this desert heat but I can't get my grease on like he can.

About.com or Allexperts.comThese motherphukers at about.com setup a site called www.allexperts.com. You will notice it subdomains off of about as you dig deeper into the site. It looks as if it is some type of "Web 2.0" user based, Wikipedish encyclopedia.

However, these phuks stole my content. They used a shitty spider to steal my content. Check out the phuked up link. They seriously took a blog post I wrote and indexed it as their own content. Besides the link, there is NO metion of this being my phuking content. I am calling shenanigans. I expect Officer Barbrady to come over to investigate this.

What is www.allexperts.com? They seem to have been acquired by about.com. They clearly link as a subdomain. But there are somethings that just don't make sense.

  • There isn't a link on www.about.com to allexperts.com.
  • When you search in the top search box, only clickable ads appear. This is a nice traffic arbitrage >> to pay-per-click ad technique.
  • They stole my content with a spider and they didn't even get the phuking link correct.
  • They are ranking higher than me, with duplicate stolen content.
  • They are using cloaking to wikipedia. Check the SERP. They should be #3. Click on them. Now click back. Click the link again. See what I am talking about. They are using every tacky, shitty SEO Blackhat technique and they aren't even good at it.

Is this really about.com? Are they really behind this? Do they even know about this? Is someone using some damn clever domain spoofing and this has nothing to with about.com? What is going on? I have reported this to Google. It's time for Digg. I will find out what is going on and I will stop them from stealing my blogs.

SHENANIGANS!!!
