You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.

Do you eat, sleep and think nothing but SEO? Has SEO become your day job, night job and girlfriend?

Here is a checklist to determine if you are an SEO addict:

  • You said "SEO" more than once today.

  • You can't figure out how Google plans to monetize the YouTube traffic?
  • You read Aaron Wall's SEOBook on the toilet — and have a copy under your pillow.
  • You are looking forward to WMW Las Vegas Pubcon.
  • You list Google bombing as a hobby.
  • Web 2.0 isn't just a saying, "it's your way of life."
  • You own at least 1 domain with SEO in it.
  • Your MySpace Top 8 consists of Matt Cutts, Jim Boykin, Danny Sullivan, Abhilash Patel, Jeremy Zawodny, Aaron Wall, Oilman and Zeldman.
  • You are wondering why I didn't link each name.
  • You have Matt Cutts's autograph.
  • You find this list funny (or at least amusing).
  • You have nightmares about supplemental results.
  • You realized that the Google Sandbox does NOT exist.
  • Your political affiliation isn't Democrat or Republican. You mostly consider yourself "white hat" but sometimes utilize "black hat" theology.
  • You have a favorite CMS.
  • The fact that I haven't been linking is really starting to bother you.
  • You syndicate and then aggregate your own content.
  • The acronym SERP turns you on.

If you said yes to just about any of these you are an SEO addict. It's okay…just don't snort the AJAX.

No SmokingIt's becoming more and more prevalent that the world is shifting to a smoke-free society. I used to think it wouldn't happen but as we realize the damaging affects cigarettes cause, each generation is smoking less and less.

Sin City, Nevada is starting to sway. A few months ago it was difficult for my friends and I to find a black jack table we could smoke at. We were at the MGM on a Saturday night. We couldn't believe it. I thought smoking was sacred in Vegas. Not just smoking but the right to pretty much do what ever the hell you wanted. The no-smoking police have taken over.

While Calabasas is the first city to ban smoking, Santa Monica is ready to follow. New York has been leading the pack by outlawing smoking in bars and restaurants (in the early 90's) – and now France is ready to do the same.

Europe is ready to saw phuk you to the smokers. Wow, we are becoming a minority. We are on the way out. Enjoy it while you still can smoke them…

I think it's time to quit before I get arrested for smoking a cigarette in my own house.

Chevy ColoradoOn Saturday, I got a brand new 07 Chevrolet Colorado. It's a dual cab, inline 5, with a 3.75L engine. Best part, built in XM radio and an MP3 player. For my purposes, that's much doper than the 4×4 Chevy S10 I purchased on Friday.

That truck was an 03 with over 50,000 miles on it. On the drive home the driver seat wouldn't lock into place and the ride was bumpy. Not to mention it smelled like some one's 4 year old truck. For only a few dollars more per month, I have a brand new 07 with 22 miles on it.

I love my new whip. The above picture is the extended cab. Mine is dual cab with 4 doors. I can't wait for my first road trip. Where should I go?

I can't do it anymore. It was one thing when I was able to roll out of bed at 8:50 and be at work at 9:30ish. Now that I get up at 6:30, I can't go to bed at 4. I am just too tired. My new job requires thinking. I need my full brain capacity.

Apparently being tired isn't the only negative affect. According to an article on CNN it is extremely detrimental to my health. When you are running on empty your body stops properly managing it's insulin which alters your mood, increases your appetite and can cause diabetes.

It's 2:38am and I need to be up in less than 4 hours. I got to stop. I know I have said it before but seriously, I am tired of being tired.

Thanks to Greybox — light box on steriods — I am no longer improperly "popping up" the comment box. That was far too Web 1.0. Using just a little bit of CSS and some JavaScript, the comments are displaying just as nicely as my images.

Check it out for yourself. Click on the comments and I am sure you will be pleased.

If you have ever blogged with Wordpress 2.0 then you are familiar with Tiny MCE. I love this HTML editor. It has about 100 added features from the RichHTML editor I was using previously.

The coolest thing, the re-sizable posting box. I love it. This one of many changes that will be happening to WDP over the next 5 months. WDP is less than a half year away from 2 years old. Oh no…another reason to talk about Web 2.0. Like there wasn't enough already. And don't say nothing bout these incomplete sentences.

  • New Job, New Laptop Laughing

  • Lakers are here in less than 2 weeks.
  • Seriously?!?!
  • Both my Mom and Avril had birthdays. Both went spitting on the Paparazzi.
  • Tacoma, Colorado, or Dakota? Hmmm…

I recently realized something. I love watching movies in the theater. Granted I no longer have the Plasma on the wall or the surround sound. I am sure once I get my 60inch DLP and 7.1 Surround, I will start renting DVDs again. However when I am home, I am generally in my office on my computer. I spend most of my TV watching on a 13 inch screen. It's about 6 inches from me (next to the monitor).

I realized that when I am at home, even on the Plasma, I seem to hate most movies. They don't hold my attention. With the computer, IM, poker and music…not to mention the ability to put on another movie or 200+ channels I easily get distracted and bored.

When I am at the theater, I watch the movie. I tend to actually enjoy it as it is the only thing available for entertainment. You can't even talk on the phone. The Red Rock movie theater makes it damn easy for me to see all the new movie without a crazy crowd.

Talladega Nights is still the best film I have seen all year. Jackass was good. I'll watch it again. I give it two thumbs up…I am just too tired to actually insert the icons and give a full review. It's Jackass, they do crazy shit and you laugh. Bam and Johnny and Steve-O are nuts.

Now I just need to decide what to see next.
