I am a fan of the entire NBA. I will watch the Heat play Sac. I like watching Dallas Vs Suns. Cleveland Vs Houston is always a great match up. I try not to post like a homer. In my weekly top 5 I will express excitement like a fan. But when I really post about basketball, I try to stay truly object and accurate. I love the NBA and I would not disrespect it by claiming "my team" is the best….unless they are.

The Lakers are the best team in basketball. They beat Utah. Let me rephrase that. They took a shit on Utah. Kobe had what will go down as one of the best quarters in all of basketball. 30pts, 9 - 9 from the field. Perfect from the line. Tonight, they beat up on the Spurs. They used the last 5 minutes of the third quarter to go on 24 - 6 run. They showed the league they can compete, with the best. They are the best. They have the second best record in the league. Right behind the Spurs.

Many will say the season is too young to really say who is the best, especially since the Lakers have yet to go out on the road. That will be their true test. It won't matter. They are ready. They are playing as a team. Kobe is rising to the occasion when necessary. Lamar has been playing consistently, for the most part. I don't know what that turnover was against the Hornets. That's Lamar sometimes though.

Jordan Farmar and Andrew Bynum are playing like developed veterans. Sure they are still rough around the edges but so is Kwame. Kwame has been working hard and it shows. Luke finally developed into the versatile guard/forward Phil saw him as. He is the facilitator. Turiaf always brings it especially while dancing on the sidelines. Mo Evans was a huge surprise. We got him for nothing and he is a huge spark when needed.

I love this team and I have every reason to.

They are the best. I am calling it right now…

I have made a decision to sign off from IM during the work day. I may login only if the situation requires I do so(i.e asking someone for programming assistance). I spend too much time on IM. Most of it is work related, but that doesn't mean it isn't distracting. The ping is rarely every regarding the task at hand. It's about a future task, a past one or something totally different. It breaks concentration. That's what email is for. I check it when I am able to read it. I respond when I am able to do so.

I am guilty of being an IM junkie. I know that. I will still login in the evening (work) hours, for now. I may need to go cold turkey. It might be the only way. Great success always follows personal sacrifice. I am willing to give up AIM and MSN. If you really need to talk to me, you know the email address.

I am not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but it is sort of bothering me, so I have to "blog" about it. When Beyonce performs the song "Irreplaceable," she sings "To the left, to the left. Everything you own in a box to the left…" That's the ridiculously catchy (that will be stuck in your head for days) chorus. And apparently she can fit a yacht and the rest of Jay Z's possessions in a box, in her closet. Whatever, that's not what bothers me. During the performance, she will point…to her right.

The answer, that I came up with, is for the audience. Her left is the audience's right. We all know how confused the audience will become if Beyonce points to her left. That is completely opposite of the audience's left. That's their right. Uh oh, I just confused myself.

I have seen B do this on several different performances. I wonder how much thought and planning was involved? Did they do market research? Do they have metrics? At some point during the creation of the choreography, someone said "you must point with the audience. Point to your right. But use your left hand. Put it over your head so the audience thinks you are going to the left. Since you are facing them, they will never know."

Well, I know. I figured it out. Beyonce, please turn around, and point to the left. Please, for the sake of humanity, to the left, to the left, please point to the left. <—

• Golden for being able to withstand "Hostile" like torture on his eye. And laugh about it no less. Props homie.

• Izzo drops 52 on the Jazz and the Lakers win by 30. Lakers beat the Clippers by 9. 2-0 bitches! So much for the "battle" for downtown.
• What did the The Re Up, up? I am still listening to it and trying to figure it out. Not much there or on Kingdom Come. Damien Rice, 9 – now that's a great album.
• Bloc Party - Kreuzberg. I could listen to this song all day.

Minka must translate to wowaweewa. Every time I see this girl she is more attractive than the last. You can currently see Minka playing Lyla on Friday Night Lights, on NBC. I think she sort of looks like Leighton Meester, who is also quite "niiice."  There is also resemblance to Lexie from Laguna Beach.  A bunch of people (on the IMDB boards) are saying she reminds them of Jenna Haze. As a Jenna Haze expert, I will have to say I don't really see that one but we haven't seen enough of Minka…naked.

So basically, this girl is a composite of other really hot girls. Minka proved she is not just a pretty face the other night. While on Carson Daly, she said "sexytime" and make the infamous hand gesture. She likes Borat.
