KG Changing Teams Is Kevin Garnett on his way to LA? www.getgarnett.com seems to think so. Or at least hope so. Mountains would have to move and pigs will have to fly before this could become a reality. Could Kevin McHale really move is franchise player for Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown? The Lakers would no doubt be the scariest team in the league. Other teams would be frightened by the 1 - 2 punch of KG and Kobe. It's cold in here…maybe hell is freezing over and Garnett is on his way.

Heidi and Spencer Pretending to Kiss Get a faux room with that faux kiss. Heidi and her smelly merkin boyfriend, Spencer Pratt, are pretending to kiss for the camera in Santa Moncia. You can't see in this pic but they even coordinated their outfit. I wouldn't be surprised if Spencer was taking these photos himself and selling them to US Weekly. Congratulations on helping Heidi jump the shark. It's very rare that I am sick of a 21 year old blonde — after a boob job. Congrats again.

Nash Lost the Fight

De La Hoya and Mayweather beat the shit out of each other for 12 rounds. Steve Nash looks more beat up than either of them.

  • The Lakers lose by 9 in Game 5. They put up a valiant effort tonight against a much more talented and skilled team. While Kobe is the greatest player in the game today, Nash competes at his level..and so do Amare and Marrion.

Golden State has Dallas ScaredWhile Digg users refused to be silenced, so did the Dallas Mavericks. Golden State had Dallas on their backs. They were up 3 - 1 and were about to close out the series, in Dallas. Most people didn't see this coming. I did.

All season long I have said Dallas is overrated. They managed to net an impressive 67 wins. They had many double-digit win streaks. including a 16 game one, that was snapped by the Lakers. Their success is formulaic. I will say it again. Their success is formulaic. Let me explain.

The movie studios can release Big Momma's House 3 all day, every day, and it will more than likely be a blockbuster success. It will crush on opening weekend and it will stay in the theaters for many months to follow. But despite all of the financial success Big Momma will produce, it will never win an Academy Award. It won't win Golden Globe. It won't even win a People's Choice Award. Dallas is Big Momma's House. They found a formula that works for them for the better part of the regular season. While Avery Johnson has made vast improvements in their defence (he gave them some), their D is still suspect. They don't really have a strong inside presence and they collapse time and time again.

I was at the game in 2002, when Dallas lead the Lakers by 28 in the 4th quarter. They lost that game by 2. I have seen them lose a 20 point lead against the Clippers and lose the game due to a Glen Rice buzzer beater. I know these are a few, single game examples. Last year they were 5 minutes from capturing a 3 - 0 lead on the Miami Heat. They were clearly the better team. Mark Cuban and company were about to be 1 game away from the NBA trophy. Down by 15, Dwayne Wade flipped his switch and brought the Heat a victory. The Heat went on to win the next 3 games. Dallas collapsed. Dirk went on to say that Cuban interferes with the games. He claimed Cubans boisterious antics were causing the refs to hold a grudge against them. Mark put the team up for sale and made moves to purchase the Chicago Cubs.

Dallas had their shot last year and blew it. Golden State matches up with them. Don Nelson is very familiar with Avery Johnson's coaching style and knows all of Dirks moves. The Warriors didn't really have their two best players for most of the season. But now everyone is healthy and Golden State is showing they belong in the playoffs. They are ready to ball. Dallas, nice win tonight but I think we all know it will be an early summer vacay for you this year.

Nas and KRS1
I got to hear KRS1 spit that live on Monday. Thank you, Scott and Kim, for hooking me up with one of the best shows I have ever been to. Anyone who was at the House of Blues on Monday night knows exactly what I am talking about. Nas brought down the house, KRS1 set the roof on fire!

While I was watching the eighth-seeded, Golden State Warriors almost crush the dreams of the 67 win, first place Dallas Mavericks, my friend Kelly pinged me with an IM, "Are you seeing what is going on at Digg?" I tried to pull up the site but it was timing out.

Digg received a cease and desist letter for anything related to the HD DVD Encryption Key 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0. As Digg continued to remove post after post, the posts became nothing but posts containing the key. Users of Digg revolted at Kevin Rose's attempt to silence them. Digg proved that it is now an entity bigger than it's creators. Kevin quickly realized his loyal readers were right. He wasn't about to stop them for saying a number.

Is this really an illegal hexadecimal number09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0. It's just a number. So many other things have to happen before this Key can unlock an HD DVD. Isn't it the intent which is illegal? The DVD burner isn't illegal. The blank HD DVDs aren't illegal. In a country that supports the right to bare arms, it is unfathomable to think a number can be considered illegal. I am entitled to protect my home and I am entitled to say any number I can possibly think of. Those are the first and second amendments, right?

Kevin just posted a blog titled "Digg This: 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0." Digg is back online with all the posts of the key. It's nice to know someone is standing up for our rights.
