An old blog post just caught my eye. It was back in July and my frustration with the Lakers management was comparable to Kobe’s. The only sliver lining in a lingering gloomy season was the return of Mr. 0.4, Derek Fisher.
On July 16, 2007, I wrote:
“Lakers sign D Fish. What better way to return to the old championship team by returning to the old championship team? It’s nice to have Mr. 0.4 back.”
Either I am clairvoyant, or D Fish is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Utah was a better team last year. The Lakes are a much better team this year. To go from Smush Parker to Derek Fisher…that’s almost like going from Kwame Brown to Pau Gasol…almost.
D Fish, we are damn happy you came back home. As we are a few hours from the last regular season game, with a chance to capture the #1 seed and homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs, I can only think…”damn it feels good to be a gangsta. Wu-Tang Motherphuker!”

Rossie O’Donnell. Her nonsensical, non-sequitur ”Jewish” tirade on Night of Too Many Stars was the most unfunny thing I have ever heard. “I’m an Irish Catholic, I’m a Jew, I’m a lesbian.”
No, you are just extremely unfunny. What makes this even worse is you are making me side with Donald Trump. Wow, that was horracious.

“The Lakers (56-25), who clinched their first Pacific Division championship in four years and at least the No. 3 seed in the West on Friday night, need to beat visiting Sacramento on Tuesday night and have Houston lose at least one of its final three games to earn the conference’s No. 1 seed.”
Are you ready for the Grid? Get ready. It’s about to be the next phase of the Internet. The Net is currently comprised of ancient technology. We are using copper wires and archaic telephone hubs to transmit a digital signal. In some cases we rely on single-processor, PC equivalent machines to serve data from one end of the country to the next. There are far too many points of failure. The current infrastructure is bottle-necking. It’s like the 405 on Tuesday morning….a gianormous cluster phuk.
The Grid enables data to travel at the speed of light via fiber optic lines. No “noise” (telephone static) to interfere with the signal. Data will be able to flow without resistance from point to point, without hopping through 100s of nodes. The Internet as you know will be 100s of times faster.
I just used WordPress 2.5 in a live environment. Holy shit they sure did fix the load times in the admin. Unless I am completely missing something, the Dashboard is not customizable. I must be missing some settings link, cause all I can change is the RSS feed. Anyway, to quote Josh Axelman, “this shit is ridonkulous, it’s the bomb shit, leroy jenkem. knibb high football rules!”
After reading the aritcle by Dougal Campbell, Upgrade or Else, I now have no choice but to upgrade within the next week.
