Even in an awful economy due to a weak dollar and exorbitant gas prices, one business is still flourishing. The Bourbon business is booming.

Bottle sales and tours of the distilleries are at an all-time high. The success is due to this generations young drinkers. The 21 -34 age demographic prefers bourbon.

Our fathers and grandfathers drink scotch. Perhaps one day we will switch to Macallan but for now it’s Makers and Basil.

FYI…Jack Daniels is technically not bourbon, it’s a sour mash whisky.

Nike and ESPN have a documentary that I can’t get enough of. After falling from grace in 2004, the USA Mens Basketball Team has spent the last 3 years rebuilding.

Starting in 2006, this 5 part documentary follows Team USA through the player selection process, the 06 loss to Greece, 2007’s America Games and current practices leading up to this summer’s Beijing Olympics.

There is no question that this is the best team since 1992. Dream Team 2 in 96 was pretty damn solid. But this isn’t Dream Team 2. This is Dream Team 2.0.

Is this really a deal on the table? Is Kupchak talking to Ron Ron, who has fired his agent and is representing himself? Is this really who we are giving up Odom for?

I don’t think it’s fair to break up the team this drastically. The Lakes are getting Bynum (and Ariza) back. While Artest might provide a defensive toughness the Lakers lacked in the finals, I would like to see this Lakers team take another shot at it.

Odom is a walking double double and is usually a stat short of a triple doub. Our beef with Odom is consistancy of big plays. Is this the guy who can fill in for Odom’s lack of consistancy?

What do you think Lakers fans? Is this the way to shred the Celtics? The Celtics done phuked up now. They let James Posey go. That guy won a ring with Miami in 2006. They let him go. He shoots 2nd in the league in 3pts, brings Boston a championship, and they let him go?!

I really wanted the Lakers to work out that deal. Posey is the next Horry. Unfortantely he is going to help CP3 and David West battle for Western Supremecy. So is this the best we got? Odom for Artest?

What is up with all these phuking beeps? If I don’t put my seat belt on the second I get into a car, it beeps. My laundry machine beeps and beeps. It’s actually less of a beep and more of a high pitch shriek. Why? If this machine really needs a notifier, why can’t it be something pleasant? Perhaps in a British voice “the laundry has finished sir.” That would be nice.

Please stop adding horrible alarm sounding noises to every thing. You got that proverbial people I am ranting to?! You got that?! At the very least give me an option to turn off the beeps. I guarantee that horrific beeping in the Lexus 250 is more of a distraction than my seat belt.

Every blog, every web site, every blogger, every every every….is talking about The Dark Knight (TDK). I want to post my glowing review. I want to discuss the few, very few things I think could have been different. The very few things in my opinion that would have truly made this movie a masterpiece.

The Dark Knizzle is just short of a masterpiece and that is all I am going to say. I am not going to rant and rave about this being the greatest movie ever. I have only seen it 1 time…and not in IMAX. Until I watch this movie multiple times I cannot decalre it the greatest movie of all time. I have seen The Wash over 1000 times and it keeps on playing.

BTW, what is the deal with dressing up for a movie? I guess this is that guy’s version of wearing a Lower Merion jersey to a Lakers game. How much do you want to bet this guy was dressed up like Iron Man 2 months ago?

What doesn’t kill you…makes you stranger!

Since February 08, I have maintained a pretty steady pace. I had found a nice rhythm, an average of a blog a night. But for some reason in July, I am barely posting. I am still sitting in front of the computer just as much…if not more. Maybe that’s it. Or maybe I should spend less time getting beat up by B.Sleaz in Scrabulous…something.

I’ve got an idea. Let’s see what DJ Delinquent thinks about it.
