18No More Phone Calls
Today, I received my monthly bill from T Mobile. My bill is $221 over the normal amount ($100/per month). When I first saw this I thought it must be a mistake. I didn’t even bother to check the itemized calls. I called T Mobile only to find out I went over my allotted time…way over.
I have unlimied nights and weekends, unlimited myFavs (Top 5), unlimited text messaging, unlimited internet/email and 600 any time minutes.
05/08 - 06/08
- 2402 minutes
- 409 sent texts
- 409 received texts
If you thought I didn’t answer my phone before, well we are entering a whole new era…a time better known as ringer off. I am NOT talking on the phone – at all!
I have no desire to send T Mobile more than half of the astronomical amount I send to the bank for my car each month. I changed my plan to include 1000 any time minutes but what concerns me the most about this…why am I wasting 2402 minutes (40 hours) of a month on the phone?! I am like a 14 year old girl…nah…just dating one!
So text, email and get good at ESP cause that’s it. Yo B.Sleez, what number am I thinking?

06How Much Did You Spend?
I just sorta watched Evan Almighty. They spent 300 million on this movie. Whoa! Most of the graphics look photoshoped…by me. Seriously! At the end, the wolves looked croped and pasted. How did they spend 300,000,000 on this movie?! Who made off with this money?
This is dsw.com. It looks exactly like shoebacca. According to InternetRetailer.com they have spent 12 million so far and will spend 20 by then end of the year. Um, really? Really, DSW?
We have you beat. We didn’t spend anywhere near that. And yes, that is a proverbial, past tense, we. The ONLY thing that they did better, happens to be the Scene7 image viewer. They did the color swap and built a better navigation. I take that one especially to heart since I built the viewer for shoebacca. Wow, that almost makes me want to rebuild it.
The homepage is oogly, they don’t have an AJAX shoefinder AND their URLs are uglier than Amy Winehouse. But they should keep spending that money. What are they spending money on? I want to go to their parties. They should give me some of that 8 million they will spend in the next 6 months. For realz…lets talk…need an API? I only charge 2500 an hour.

02Certified Letter from the IRS
Well this thoroughly scared the shit out of me. It turned out to be the $2000 dollars I won on the Preakness in 2006. Youbet.com reported it and I…
I am filing it now, and paying the taxes on it. ALWAYS pay your taxes! Pay extra…it’s the patriotic thing to do.

26X2 is Now Open!
Six Flags Magic Mountain has revamped their eXtreme rollercoaster X and have launched X2.
They upgraded the carts, added audio and visual effects and painted the track. I have only been on X once, so it’s about time I go to Magic Mountain. I have been planning a trip since Jan 07.
I have not been on Tatsu. OK, that’s it. I am going to Magic Mountain ASAFP!

MGMT: “Oracular Spectacular”
Last November, Rolling Stone pegged MGMT (aka Management) as one of the top 10 bands to watch in 2008. I say they are number 1. After listening to the entire album 3 times yesterday (early May), I am definitely down with MGMT.
A combination of Brooklyn indie rock blended with synthetic-pop is the best way to describe them. They tend to stray from their normal sound on “Pieces of What” which gives the song a classic rock feel.
Pieces of What
4 Must Listen Tracks:
- Time to Pretend
- Kids
- Weekend Wars
- Pieces of What
MGMT are currently on tour and will be opening for Beck this summer.

20Death Cab Guest Blogs on Stereogum
The guys from Death Cab For Cutie took over blogging duties today on one of my favorite blogs, Stereogum. Ben Gibbard’s (Death Cab, Postal Service) post was so entertaining, I have to share it with you:
“Regulate”
Warren G (Feat. Nate Dogg), 1994My girlfriend and I were running errands around Seattle a couple weeks ago when this came on the radio during KUBE 93’s “old school lunch hour” (it’s kinda weird to think of 1994 as being “old school” but I guess it was almost 15 years ago). It quickly became brutally apparent that “Regulate” has fallen into that unfortunate category of hip hop songs that have not aged well at all. Here are some conversation snippets from the three and half minutes that followed:
- “Who are these ‘Regulators’? This guy talking at the top makes them sound like some sort of organized vigilanty group. Kinda like a hip hop guardian angels or something.”
- “Warren G sounds pretty wimpy on this track. That’s saying something coming from me. If Nate Dogg didn’t show up, I fell pretty confident that even I could jack him.”
- “What the fuck does ‘the rhythm is the bass and the bass is the treble’ mean?!”
- “I think that if I just shot a bunch of guys the last thing on my mind would be chasing girls. I mean, that would kinda put a damper on the rest of the evening.”
- “Is it just me or can Nate Dogg not really sing? That ‘Eastside motel’ line sounded kinda rotten.”
- “Oh man, ‘Pump Up The Volume’ has aged better than this thing.”
The video really brings all of that home.

06Revlon Run/Walk For Women
A friend of mine is participating in the Revlon Run/Walk For Women on May 10th. Due to my prolific following it was only natural for her to ask me to promote awareness for this cause. I guess I can take a break from being a complete douche bag for a minute and do something nice.
If you haven’t donated to charity this year, here is your chance. This is the perfect cause. Cancer affects our mothers, sisters, aunts, girlfriends and wives. We need to raise as much money as possible to support research.
I am not asking you, I am telling you…donate now. It will be the best thing you have done all year.

30The Biggest Douche in the World is…
Isaiah Rider. This super douche was arrested last night for grand theft auto. While playing for the LA Lakers, super douche forgot to bring his shoes to a game and was benched by Phil Jackson. He was left off of the playoff roster which subsequently led to his retirement from the NBA.
During his NBA career, Rider was arrested for selling chipped cellphones and smoking pot out of a soda can on PCH.
He was parked in his Bently.
In 2006 he was arrested for kidnapping, illegal firearm possesion, and evading police officer. He spent a quick 7 months in jail.
Once considered a superstar in the making, Rider began his turbulent career by being expelled from UNLV for cheating on a test. The person Rider hired to take the test for him happened to misspell Isaiah.
Getting arrested and dribbling the ball off of his shoe, seem to be the only 2 things Rider is good at. This guy is bigger douche than Joe Francis and is the biggest douche in the world.

26RadioShack Forgot What They Do
Apparently RadioShack doesn’t carry garage door openers anymore. I went to the RadioShack on Robertson and Pico and was told that the only garage door opener they have is an electronic keypad. I am looking for a replacement gate/garage opener. The old school, RF, jumper-programmed, clicker thing.
RadioShack, you can’t be serious. This is what you do. Are you really selling that many computers, cell phones and televisions that you don’t have time to deal with a cheap, radio frequency device? I have a hard time believing it. Who buys any real electronics at Radio Shack?
Even their website doesn’t have a great selection. Phuk the Shack and their $50 cables.
