And now they want you and me to pay to fix it. John McCain may be screaming about regulation now, after the fact. But the facts show that 9 years ago, Phil Gramm led the charge repealing the laws in place that prevented these types of subprime loans. The creation of NINJA loans (No Income No Job No Asset) created inflation that filled the proverbial bubble so fast it exploded.

In the Nobama facebook group, the creator/moderator, Brian O’Malley, posted a cartoon insinuating it was the “democrat party’s” regulations that wouldn’t allow the lil free market to reach the homeowner.  This created a bubble with a mortgage they couldn’t afford. I emailed Brian O’Malley asking his thoughts on McCain now asking for regulation:

“Very low amount of government checking, is fine.

The government’s job should be to check things, keep things
in balance. Not to meddle with them unless it’s an emergency.”

700 Billion is very low government checking? Usury laws are strict government regulations? How can the government “check things” but not intervene unless it’s an emergency? That doesn’t make any sense. If the government sees the problem, as many did, that’s why regulations were there in the first place, what can they do until it’s too late? This is cry baby capitalism. It benefits the ultra rich. John McCain’s right hand campaign man just cost you a whole lot of money…all because he wanted to make a whole lot of money.

3 years after Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act repealed the old regulations, Gramm became Vice chairman of UBS’s new investment firm.

From 2005 - 2006, Gramm lobbied Congress to roll back strong state rules that sought to stem the rise of predatory tactics used by lenders and brokers to place homeowners in high-cost mortgages.

For his work, Gramm and two other lobbyists collected $750,000 in fees. Gramm made a whole of money and just cost you a shit load. This is being a fiscal conservative? This is going to keep my taxes low? I don’t get it. The republicans talk about taxes as if they are the no tax party. I’ll save that rant for a separate post.

You douche bag liberals are so incompetent and inconsistent you made the worst thing happen. You made me agree and now defend Ann Coulter. I don’t need to blog about how crazy or manly Ann Coulter is. I have done that before. Everyone has done that. But for some reason, journalists, liberal, moderate and conservative alike, are booking Ann Coulter on their shows and helping her sell books. Why are they doing this? Why are they helping her become rich while giving her a soapbox to spew her garbage?

In her most recent interview, Danny Deutsch poked and prodded her to say something shocking. He continuously asked for her perfect vision of this country. Each time he shot down her answer telling her to move away from politics. What does this country look like? He repeated like a broken record. When she said Christian, that’s when he really went on his attack, mostly for his own ratings.

But Ann wasn’t wrong. Not according to the Christians. That is exactly what they believe. The Jews are supposed to be perfect. They have a set of laws that are impossible to follow. So God sent his son to die for their sins. That is why you must have complete love and faith in Jesus and you will be saved. This is Christianity 101. Why am I explaining this? I guess because no one actually knows this. This is what the Evangelicals preach. They love you and want to save you. So believe in Jesus and you will go to heaven. Otherwise, it’s eternal damnation for you.  Isn’t that nice?

• 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
• 7 have been arrested for fraud
• 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
• 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
• 3 have done time for assault
• 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
• 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
• 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
• 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
• 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

It’s nice to know these are the men and women who are writing our laws and protecting our constitutional rights.

Update: After checking Snopes, I realized I should not present this information as truthful because it’s not verifiable. Without naming names or citing specific cases, there is no way to prove any of these stats. While some of it is true, just based on numbers – if you sample any group of 535 people, a percentage will have been defendants in lawsuits, arrested for drunk driving, etc…This list is not factual. Please check Beyond Delay for the facts. As a true Patriot, Blogger and Independent, I apologize for reporting crap-stats.

Smokey, I mean Chris, is trying to save some actress on a stage and starts singing…really horribly. While the audience is completely unamused, Jackie Chan comes swinging in from shit in the sky and he is singing…almost better than Smokey. As the crowd goes nuts for Jackie, he joins them on stage — just when the camera pans to 20+ suited Asian gangstas and they open fire with every type of automatic weapon you can think of.

Jackie, some actress, and Smokey slowly movie-run behind the prop car that is on stage and stop for some stoopid one-liner. They then continue to movie-run while the gangstas still shoot at them with hundreds of thousands of bullets.

No U.S. forces have ever been compelled to stay in sustained combat conditions for as long as the Army units have in Iraq. In World War II, soldiers were considered combat-exhausted after about 180 days in the line. They were withdrawn for rest periods. Moreover, for weeks at a time, large sectors of the front were quiet, giving them time for both physical and psychological rehabilitation. During some periods of the Korean War, units had to fight steadily for fairly long periods but not for a year at a time. In Vietnam, tours were one year in length, and combat was intermittent with significant break periods.

Please stop talking. Seriously. If Paris Hilton being let out of jail (not prison like half of you outraged morons think) is making you outraged, YOU are what is wrong with this country. I understand you do not like her. It has been well over a year since she has been liked by What Da Phuk! However 45 days is a draconian sentence for reckless driving…on a suspended license.

There has been so much talk that "if it was me or you, we would be sitting there for 10 years…" Seriously? For reckless driving? Considering the average rapist serves 9 months  to 3 years, I find this hard to believe. She didn't kill anyone. She wasn't even caught with drugs. So you hate her. Fair enough. You were happy she received jail time. OK, I understand. Screaming "the justice system is flawed" because Paris was released on house arrest, makes me want to scream, at you.

There is a war being fought in front of you. Your peers are dying. The lucky survivors are missing limbs. Some are missing their entire face. They are being treated in dilapidated hospitals. Their pay raise was blocked, over 5 cents. Gas is at an all time high. Yet, the gas companies are recording record breaking profits.

But you don't have time for this. You don't have time to worry about 2 billion cigarette butts in the street, per day. You can't worry about the disappearance of the bees or the changing climate. You are busy, worrying about where Paris Hilton will sleep. Paris is in jail right now and I don't feel one bit safer… not while Lindsay Lohan is still free. Where is Osama? Where is your outrage? 

George Bush is responsible for the death of 3495 Americans. An 18 year old is considered a minor in most states. While unable to legally purchase alcohol, gamble or rent a car, Bush sent these children to die. And for what? We don't even know why they are there. "Stay the course," what course? Osama is still alive. Bush lost the "war on terror" because he didn't fight it. If Bush wants to continue fighting this faux-war, he needs to first send his douche bag, tramp daughters. Then he needs to put on his fighter pilot costume and go fight.
