Weekend Movies

Adventureland

adventurelandIt was not what I expected. It’s directed by the same guy that directed Superbad. It’s smart and clever and it’s a love story. But then again…pretty much all movies are. Kristen Stewart is beautiful (and pretty hot) and the commercial is right; you will “fall in love with her.” The critics have said everything from “this is the next Juno” to “funniest cult classic since Old School” and “where’s the bathroom? It’s blumpkin time!” OK, I made the last one up.

After thinking about it for the past 24 hours I jumped to the conclusion…it’s Empire Records. A lighthearted romantic comedy with great characters and a pointless story. It pretends to revolve around music but it’s all about the guy getting the girl. A girl with “issues.” It’s fun, go see it…SUPPORT THE ECONOMY!

It’s a 3.5 blunt movie but I’ll kick it up to 4 blunts of LA Con just cause of KStew.

Iron Man

ironmanI’m sorry I didn’t see this in the theaters. I rented it the week it came out on DVD and it has sat in my house for the past few months. Yeah, I don’t want to hear about calculating the daily cost for me to “sit” on that movie for more than 1 month it would make more financial sense to purchase it for $9.99. No, we are not going to talk about that.

I finally agree with the American public. This movie was awesome. Downey Jr killed it. I believe him as Ghostface Killah Tony Stark. Favreau directed the shit out of this movie. The effects were transformer awesome. Bridges was a great villain…especially with the long beard and shaved head. Gweneth even looked hot and not her normal DListed “Fish-sticks” self. I didn’t even mind highly overrated THoward. This was a fantastic action movie.

5 blunts of Platinum Bubba!
