WDP is packing it’s bags, dumping all of the SQL from the database, zipping it (tar & gzip) up and scp-ing over to AWS EC2 (Amazon Web Services Elastic Cloud Compute).

I’ve been messing with the AWS for the past year and I truly love it. Enterprise scalability at the a few clicks and few (hundred) dollars (per month).

Goodbye XLHost. We’ve been together for the better part of a decade. It’s been real. It’s been fun. But it certainly hasn’t been real fun.

Here’s to the cloud and hopefully a summer full of actual posts.
